Through My Lens: Bay Area Event and Portrait Photography

Every photo here started the same way: with people, a moment, and me paying close attention.

I've been behind the camera since 2003, long before Snapbox had its first booth. Photography is how I learned to see. It taught me to watch for the quiet in-between moments that most people miss: the hug that lasts a little longer, the laugh someone tries to hide, the way a room shifts when the music starts and everyone finally lets go.



This gallery is a small collection of the moments I've been lucky enough to capture across the Bay Area. Some are big celebrations. Some are simple portraits. All of them are real. I don't believe in forcing a shot. My job is to make you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, and then be ready when it happens.When you look through these images, I hope you notice the people more than the photography. That's always been the goal. The best compliment I can get isn't "nice picture." It's "that's exactly how it felt."
