Meet Lux Retro, the Halo-Lit Photo Booth That Makes Everyone Glow

There's a moment at almost every event when a guest walks up to the photo booth, catches their reflection, and hesitates. Is my hair okay? Is this lighting going to be kind to me? We built Lux Retro so that moment turns into a smile instead.

Lux Retro is our open-air digital photo booth, and it's all about the light. A round, backlit halo ring light wraps guests in soft, even light, so every photo comes out glowing and magazine-worthy. It sits on a warm wooden tripod that looks as good in the room as the photos look on your phone.

What Is the Lux Retro Photo Booth?

Lux Retro is an open-air booth, which means no enclosure and no curtain. Guests step right up, groups squeeze in together, and the people waiting in line get to watch the fun happen. It keeps the energy social and the line moving.

The star of the show is the halo. That big, round ring light is backlit for a clean, modern look, and it's mounted on a natural wood tripod that feels warm instead of techy. Sleek and modern, with just enough retro charm to earn the name.

Why the Halo Light Makes Such a Difference

Good photos start with good light, and a ring light is one of the most flattering ways to light a face. Because the light comes from a large, round source right in front of your guests, it fills in shadows under the eyes and chin and smooths out skin. You also get that soft, round sparkle in the eyes that makes portraits feel alive.

The result is consistent, even light for every single guest, whether it's 6 p.m. or the last song of the night. Nobody has to find their angle. The light does the work.

A Booth That Belongs in the Room

We care a lot about how our booths look in a space, not just the photos they take. Lux Retro's wooden tripod and clean round frame blend into almost any setting:

• Rustic vineyard and barn weddings

• Elegant ballrooms and hotel receptions

• Corporate galas and company holiday parties

• Backyard celebrations under the string lights

It reads as part of the decor instead of a piece of equipment someone rolled in.

Picture It at Your Event

The photo above says it all. It's an outdoor evening celebration, string lights glowing in the background, and two guests dressed in stunning silk and brocade pause at the halo to check their look before the fun starts. That warm glow on their faces? That's exactly what ends up in their photos.

We love moments like this. The booth isn't just where photos happen. It's where friends gather, fix each other's hair, laugh, and make a memory together.
